Josh Pregnant???

The last several Monday nights, Josh and I have been attending a Labor and Birth class through GrandView Hospital. I've been especially looking forward to the evening when the 'empathy belly' comes out. So, camera on hand, I and our childbirth instructor were able to capture some fun pictures of Josh, with a 35 pound pregnant belly on.

The first thing they put on is actually a band around the chest.

It's supposed to help the husband feel the lung constriction.

Josh actually said that this was the most annoying thing.
Strutting his pregnant self

I especially liked the 'maternity clothes' they gave him to wear.
It reminded me of the smocks you had to wear in elementary art class.

I think I'm still bigger!

For some reason,
Josh was the only one in the class that tried it on!
It was pretty hilarious seeing him with this on, but let me tell you, nothing could compare to wearing it for nine months.
Then, maybe, I'll call it an empathy belly.

Tour of the Nursery

Here is what you see as you walk through the doorway, into the nursery.
The back wall of the nursery with the dresser/changing table and hamper.
At my baby shower, everyone signed this frame which will eventually have a picture of our baby in it!
Couldn't help but brag on my husband's great work with this window that he redid. Thanks also to Ed, who helped! Eventually I'll probably have curtains to go here, too, but not yet.
Here's most of the room in one shot.
A closeup of the monkey music mobile.

I just love the monkeys.

And more of them!

The view, standing at the back of the room. We just need a closet door, which is being shaved down tomorrow, I believe! :)
And this is the view of the inside of the closet, where Josh installed some extra shelving.
Now we just need the baby!!! :)

Logan, our nephew, turns 1

Happy Birthday to you, Logan!
So, he was pretty overwhelmed with all the singing
and everyone staring at him -- right after
I took this picture he started crying!

I'm not sure Logan was quite sure what to do with all these presents, so Mom and the kids helped!

He loved this little wagon full of Legos.
What a ham! He started showing off when we were cracking up because he would just hold the pieces in his mouth for forever.

Sharing

And, putting the tools that Josh and I got for Logan to the ultimate test!
I think he liked them. :)

What a cutie! Hard to believe that it was just a year ago that we were waiting for Logan to arrive. And this year, we're waiting again ... to hear when Baby Behe will arrive.

BUT, great news!!!! We have less than a year to wait for the next one! At Christmas we found out that Baby Bowers is due to arrive around the end of June to Dana (Josh's sister) and Brad. Yay, yay, yay!!!! More cousins! :) We can't wait and are so excited for them!

Baby Shower Pictures

Thought I'd just share some pictures from my baby shower in the beginning of December. What a fun time it was! :)

Oops!

Well, it looks like my Christmas greetings were probably not viewed, as I see that my last post never did seem to work. If, however, you clicked on 'View Full Size,' you could see the Christmas Card that I made on scrapblog.com for you all to enjoy. (I had to click it twice, though, and it brought up a new window) Oh well! Better luck next time...
